Founded in 2022, The Contractors Oil & Gas Association of Namibia has been formally registered as a non-profit association under section 21 of the Namibian companies act 2004. Reg. 21/2022/0906, COGANAM is working to bring together key voices and stakeholders in the energy services sector.

In alignment with its commitment to integrity, collaboration, and industry-wide best practices, COGANAM maintains an active Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NAMPOA, the representative body for oil and gas operators in Namibia. This partnership reflects the strong, cooperative relationship between the association of end clients (NAMPOA) and the association of contractors (COGANAM). Working hand in glove on matters of mutual interest, both organisations play complementary roles in supporting the sustainable development, governance, and local participation within Namibia’s growing energy sector.
