Who can apply

Membership is open to companies that are actively engaged in the oil and gas industry as Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors, while Associate members are exempt from this requirement. 

Tier 1 contractors typically deliver complex, large-scale services directly to operators and demonstrate strong technical capacity, financial capability, and international certifications, often managing multi-million-dollar projects and subcontractor networks. 

Tier 2 contractors provide specialised or supporting services and materials within the sector, commonly working with Tier 1 contractors or operators and maintaining proven industry experience and compliance with relevant standards.

Eligible companies are expected to be appropriately registered or partnered with locally registered entities and maintain a representative presence in Namibia. Companies that may not yet meet these criteria are encouraged to view the framework as a pathway for future participation, as it is intended to promote continuous development and serve as a mechanism for fostering quality, capability, and long-term growth within the industry.
